About Us

The Art Explorers program aims to help children recognize that there are no mistakes in art, as this fluid and creative activity can become a lifelong practice. Using traditional practices and techniques, our students will learn about creativity and innovation, all while fostering their inner fearlessness.

Tools and techniques taught by Masters such as Mondrian, Picasso, Van Gogh, and Michelangelo are used to transition into our student’s work. How can we take a piece of the Sistine Chapel and make it relative to us? By teaching children about their own individual artistic intuition, they are not only learning the history of art but what they take away from the lesson is so much greater… and that’s the Art Explorers way!

The students will build a strong repertoire of art knowledge in an environment that allows them to be creative in their own ways. While there are structured projects that involve a number of mediums, children are strongly encouraged to move beyond the basics that are set in front of them.

Letting go of insecurity and the fear of the unknown that many artists struggle with, students will learn to think abstractly and follow the lead of their own intuition.

In traditional art classes they start with a step-by-step process and are expected to follow instructions specifically. The Art Explorers way puts emphasis on the exploration of conversation between instructor and student. Projects become fluid and constantly change week-to-week based on interest. Driving the thought and practice of diversity over conformity, we facilitate the development of a child’s individual creativity.
